The panels to follow implement the following set of assumptions:
- Lid is well insulated from the lower part of the tank
- Shell well insulated from the room
- Lid, gas and fluid at about the same temperature as the room
- Fluid does not evapourate
- Fluid jet is very fast
- Inner wall conducts very well
- Liquid contents ideally mixed – mixing very fast
- Fluid flow in the jacket is extremely fast — uniform temperature
