Abstract

Consideration was given to simulation of the nonstationary flows of gas in an arbitrary-configuration gas transmission system with both internal and external loops. Simulation is defined as a generalized solution of the initial boundary problem for quasilinear partial derivative equations with discontinuous coefficients. Main approaches are oriented to various realizations of the finite-volume (balance) and multi-grid approximations of the generalized solutions of the initial boundary problem for the parabolic partial derivative equations. The proposed methods, which are extremely urgent for solving the main problems involved in scheduling the gas flows in the gas transmission system, have no counterparts and are oriented to parallel organization of computational procedures on the basis of multiprocessor computer systems with parallel architecture.
