Abstract

The paper presents a method for the constrained Moving HorizonEstimation of origin-destination (OD) matrices for trafficnetworks. In traffic systems split ratios are important parametersfor OD estimation and for control problems as well. The papertreats the general constrained Moving Horizon Estimation problemfor traffic systems modelled in terms of linear time varyingsystem and solves the split rate estimation process. Theestimation is subjected to equality and inequality constraints. Anumerical example is solved to demonstrate the Moving HorizonEstimation of split variables.
