Abstract

In this paper, an active Fault Tolerant Control (FTC) strategy isdeveloped to nonlinear systems described by multiple linear modelsto prevent the system deterioration by the synthesis of adaptedcontrollers. By considering that Fault Detection, Isolation (FDI)and estimation is realized, the synthesis of an appropriatecombination of predesigned gains is performed. The maincontribution concerns the design of state feedback gains throughLMI both in fault-free and faulty cases in order topreserve the system performances. For each separate actuator, arobust pole placement is designed by pole clustering. Theeffectiveness and performances of the method are illustrated insimulation by considering a nonlinear system: a Three-Tank system.
