Abstract

This article deals with the problem of designing finite dimensional controllers for aclass of nonlinear infinite dimensional systems for which inertial manifolds are known toexist. The synthesis of the controller is based on a finite-dimensional, inertial formapproximation of the plant. The controller guarantees exponential convergence of the systemstate to zero.
