Abstract

Condition numbers, local and non-local perturbation bounds are obtained for the complex matrix equation X - A^H *sqrt(X^(-1)) A=I, which arises in a number of problems of linear control systems theory. The technique used is based on Lyapunov majorants and fixed point principles. An illustrative numerical example is given.
