Abstract

An approach of generating multiple pseudo random bits from a single spatiotemporal chaotic system isproposed in this paper. A coupled map lattice is adopted as a prototype of a spatiotemporal chaotic system. The cryptographic properties of the pseudo random bits generator based on the coupled map lattice (CML-MPRBG) are analyzed, and simulation results show that the CML-MPRBG is a good candidate for generating keystreams in cryptography.
