Abstract

The the problem of minimizing the transient energy of a linear system following a unit energy initial disturbance is considered in this paper. This paper extends previous results on the state feedback case to the output feedback case. Furthermore, it is shown that the problem can be solved by convex optimization of the free parameter following a $Q$-parametrization. The techniques are illustrated by numerical examples.
