Selecting appropriate values of the streams leaving microbial membrane bioreactor has an important influence on biomass concentration, i.e. a parameter which has the greatest effect on the bioreactor efficiency. For that reason the parameter  called as the intensification coefficient of a microbial membrane bioreactor was introduced to the proposed model. The second important parameter of the model is called as substrate permeability coefficient (s). Selection of a proper pair of parameters and s is a typical optimization task which could be accomplished after formulating an optimization criterion.

Presented Wednesday 19, 13:30 to 15:00, in session Integration of Life Sciences & Engineering - Poster (T5-P).
