Chroma Space

Chroma Space

2010

Digital Artwork, exhibited at:
Colorito: An Interactive Renaissance of Colour, in ACMMM2010 at the Palazzo Medici Riccardi, Florence, Italy
(exhibition catalogue, press release).

An interactive installation that demonstrates how colours can be used to change our perception and affect in an interactive digital artwork. The Chroma Space can serve as a platform for experimenting the novel usage of affective colours in an interactive synthetic scenario. Chroma Space demonstrates the effective impacts of using a stylistic approach to address emotional sensations, by making colors move in space. We have conducted a study to assess the impact of exposure to achromatic colours to different interactive 3D scenarios. The results suggest that presentation of colour has an emotional impact to viewers.
