Papers in all areas of chemical process control applications are solicited. The submitted material must be original and unpublished. The following areas will be addressed in the Symposium: modeling for control, identification, model based control, nonlinear control, fault detection and safety, monitoring and performance assessment, unit process control, plant-wide control, and optimization in operations, control, and process management. Draft papers (not extended abstracts) for the Symposium must be submitted so that they reach the address below by June 15, 1998. Late papers will not be considered. Six copies of the draft paper should be submitted. No paper will be accepted by fax or in electronic form. The length of the paper should be no more than 15 double-spaced pages (300 words per page), including references, tables, and figures. A4 page size and one column format should be used. Submit four additional copies of the front page of the paper, containing: * the title; * list of authors (including address, phone, and e-mail); * abstract (about 120 words); * 3 to 5 keywords characterizing the subject of the paper. When submitting the paper indicate that it is for the Symposium on Applications of Chemical Process Control (7/a). Further identify the corresponding author and indicate your preference concerning oral or poster presentation. In addition four copies of a Paper Submission Form should be submitted.
