Abstract

The paper addresses the problem of designing arobust fault detection filter for an uncertain Takagi-Sugeno fuzzymodels. The existence of a robust fault detection filter thatguarantees i) the L_2-gain from an exogenous input to aresidual signal is less than a prescribed value and ii) the L_2-gain from a fault signal to a residual signal is greaterthan a prescribed value is given in terms of the solvability oflinear matrix inequalities. A numerical example is used toillustrate the effectiveness of the proposed design techniques.
