Information content and software
IFAC, Elsevier Science Ltd and the software providers (if any) identified in the copyright notices included in this Product (collectively, the "Licensor") have developed or otherwise obtained rights in (i) the information content of this Product including all indexes and graphic materials; and (ii) the software used for indexing, searching and retrieving data from this Product (collectively, the "Proprietor Material"). The Proprietary Material is protected under copyright law and international treaties, and all rights are reserved.

Grant of licence
You may use the information content and software provided in this Product on your individual computer or terminal and in a secure institutional network for personal research and reference purposes, but this Product may not be used in a consortia environment or in any other way outside your institution. The results of discrete searches may be printed out for internal purposes, provided that proprietary and copyright notices are not obscured or removed from the printout.

You agree that any other uses, and specifically renting, re-distributing, re-transmitting, sub-leasing, assigning, decompiling, disassembling and reverse engineering, are prohibited, and that you will not make the Product available to other non-authorized persons.

Disclaimers
To the extent permissible under applicable laws, no responsibility is assumed and is hereby disclaimed, and no warranty is given, by IFAC or Elsevier Science with respect to the accuracy, completeness, or the quality of the data or information, and no responsibility is assumed and is hereby disclaimed for any injury and/or damage to persons or property as a result of any actual or alleged libelous statements, infringement of intellectual property or privacy rights, or products liability, whether resulting from negligence or otherwise, including without limitation from any use or operation of any ideas, instructions, procedures, products or methods contained in the material therein.

If the information provided on this CD-ROM contains medical or health sciences information, it is intended for professional use within the medical field. Information about medical treatment or drug dosages is intended strictly for professional use, and because of rapid advances in the medical sciences independent verification of diagnosis and drug dosages should be made.

Limited warranty and limited liability
Licensor warrants that the software embodied in the Product will perform in substantial compliance with the documentation provided for a period of thirty (30) days from receipt, unless the performance problems are the result of hardware failure or improper use. Licensor's entire liability and your entire remedy shall be, at Licensor's discretion, replacement of the defective CD-ROM or diskette or a refund of any fee paid. Licensor indemnifies you from and against any claims by third parties that the Product infringes the third party's intellectual property rights.

Licensor has used commercially reasonable efforts in preparing the software and in collecting and preparing material for inclusion in the Product but does not warrant that the software is free from error or that the information content is complete or accurate, whether or not foreseeable, and whether or not there is an adequate alternative remedy. The warranties and representations set out above are the only warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, that are made by licensor.
