Without question the protection of discoveries plays an important, if not almost necessary role in most work pursued the Baccalaureate Scientist. But, coursework relating to Patents is nearly non-existent at the undergraduate level. The curriculum of a survey course for undergraduates will be described. The survey course will begin with a description of the Patent pitfalls of protecting a discovery from invention to commercialization.
