This presentation will first quickly address, at a high-level view, the various forms of intellectual property. The presentation will then focus on the various ways companies can generate value from these various forms of intellectual property. Finally, and of particular importance, the presentation will focus on the numerous ways engineers, in particular, can generate money from intellectual property. This last issue will generally discuss the value of a law degree in conjunction with an engineering degree, expert work as a professor or licensed engineer, and unique methods of collecting fees in intellectual property disputes from a purely legal perspective.
