This project focuses on the development a simulation tool which is capable of characterizing the dynamic properties of a typical scale boiler. This simulation tool, which is a simplified dynamic model based in MATLABŪ can be used to observe the differences between conventional and oxygen enriched combustion, which under certain conditions can reduce the formation of NOx.

A base system has been considered and the dynamic effects of coal feed, air flow rate and air humidity are compared for the cases of oxygen enriched and conventional combustions.
