The isotropic short-range attractive model is believed to be sufficient to reproduce the phase diagram of globular proteins. Our study showed its failure to capture the kinetics of crystallization of globular proteins. The model with aeolotopic interactions may be better model for these systems. We present the event-driven molecular dynamics simulation of patchy partices interacting via hard-sphere interactions complemented by short-range attractive sites. The thermodynamic and dynamic properties are studied. Resultes are related to the sticky colloidal particles and globular proteins.
