Session 454 - New Faculty Forum
This session gives helpful information for faculty at the start of their careers. It will include 2 to 3 invited talks from individuals such as Deans, Mentors, and Program Officers at either NSF or NIH. This will be followed by panel discussion. Panelists will include successful new faculty from a variety of teaching and research institutions who will comment on topics ranging from preparing and earning an NSF CAREER award, advising students, time management, teaching, increasing publishing rates, to documenting and preparing a well-organized tenure packet. Join us for a lively discussion of issues central to your success!
