Topical 2: Discover, Development and Delivery of Medicines

Session 684 - Application of Engineering Fundamentals to API Process Development - PAT Applications
The emergence of Process Analytical Technology (PAT) is a boon for chemical engineers enabling them to improve process understanding by integrating PAT data with mathematical models. The application of traditional engineering tools like kinetic regression and mass transfer analysis using PAT data and subsequent process simulation will be the focus of this session.
