PSE'97 / ESCAPE'7
GENERAL INFORMATION
PSE'97 / ESCAPE'7 is a joint event initiated by the Executive
Committee of the Process Systems Engineering Symposium Series and the
EFCE Working Party on Computer Aided Process Engineering. It follows
the previous PSE symposia in Kyongju, Korea ('94), Montebello, Canada
('91), Sydney, Australia ('88), Cambridge, England ('85'), Kyoto,
Japan ('82) and the previous ESCAPE symposia in Rhodes, Greece ('96),
Bled, Slovenia ('95), Dublin, Ireland ('94), Graz, AUstria ('93),
Toulouse, France ('92) and Elsinore, Denmark ('92).
PSE'97 / ESCAPE'7 is organized by the Center for Process
Systems Engineering at the Norwegian
University of Science and Technology.
The aim of the symposium is to review the latest developments in
Process Systems Engineering and Computer Aided Process Engineering,
with emphasis on the use of computers and information technology tools
and methods in the design and operation of process industri.
Venue
Trondheim is the 3rd largest city in Norway, and is located
approx. 500 km north of Oslo, the capital of Norway. Trondheim is
known as the Technology Capital of Norway, due to the city's
institutions of technology, education and research. Trondheim is
easily accessible both by air, train and car, and in the months of May
and June the weather is usually pleasant. The city of Trondheim will
in 1997 celebrate its 1000 years anniversary, and at the time around
the symposium, several cultural arrangements will find place.
Proceedings
All papers will appear in a special issue of Computers and Chemical
Engineering (included in the conferencefee). Proceedings will be made
available to all Symposium participants at registration.
Demonstration / exhibitions
