Lin & Segel's physiological flow problem

A note used in the course 75048 Mathematical modeling. This note summarizes the results of Chapter 8 in Lin & Segel's book Mathematics applied to deterministic problems in the natural sciences.

As a DVI file (8 pages, A5 paper size).
As a PostScript file (4 pages, A4 paper size; landscape format)
Ghostview tends to show it upside down, but if you apply `Swap Landscape' in the `Orientation' menu it is turned right side up.

If you print it out on a PostScript printer that prints twosided, you might wish to prepend the following PostScript code to the file, to print the two sides of the sheet with their tops in the same direction:
