My work on polychaetes started when I was encouraged by Professor Torleif Holthe to study Scandinavian taxa of the families Nereididae and Sphaerodoridae in a graduate project (Cand. scient. equivalent of MSc), which I finished in 1997. Two years later I got the opportunity to start doctoral studies, which I finished in 2003 and sucessully defended the thesis in January 2004. |
Studies on Nereididae will be a focus in years to come.
As mentioned above sphaerodorids are also of interest and I try keep up the work from my MSc project. It is still more work to do on the Scandinavian taxa in this family. I have also treated the sphaerodorids from the BIOSHELF Project in Thailand.
