The sixth recipient of this award is Professor Roger W.H. Sargent from Imperial College of Science and Technology, London, UK. Professor Sargent is widely regarded as the "father" of process systems engineering. The award was presented to professor Sargent on January 9, 2003 during the 11th Nordic Process Control Workshop held in Trondheim, Norway.
