The Global Positioning System (GPS) is a Global satellite based radio navigation system developed and operated by the U.S. Department of Defense. GPS consists of at least 24 satellites orbiting around the Earth which allows land, sea, and airborne users to determine their position, velocity, and time 24 hours a day, in all weather, anywhere in the world with a precision and accuracy far better than other systems available today. More information can be found in "GPS Official Page".

The students interested in the village theme and especially those from study programs associated with GPS are welcome to choose the GPS village. Each group will consist of students from various study programs in order to form a multidisciplinary team. The group projects will naturally have a basis in GPS. Students in a group normally select their own topic for the project after third/fourth village day.

Village Leader: Professor Hossein Nahavandchi. Village Assistants: Nora Marie Lundevall Arnet and Victoria Værnø.
