Background is filled with corkbark, and at the bottom some coconuts. I do a 10% water change each week. Temperature is 28 degrees, pH: 6.8, gH:4, kH 4. I have no Co2 injection in this tank, because of the little vegetation. Plants are not really that common where many dwarf cichildes live. The most important thing is to provide plenty of hiding places in the form of caves, both in the walls and in the terraces. There should also be some areas of sand where many dwarfs like to dig sleeping holes for their fry. The water should be soft and acidic especially for Dwarfs from South America. |
