Edgar Lopez-Rojas is a post-doctoral researcher at the Digital Forensics group at NTNU in Gjøvik, Norway. Edgar obtained his PhD in Computer Science at Blekinge Institute of Technology in Sweden (2016). His research area is “Computational Methods for Fighting Financial Fraud”. Some related topics within the field are: Information Security, Multi-Agent Based Simulation, Intrusion Detection, Machine Learning techniques with applied Visualization in the domain of retail stores, mobile payments and Anti Money Laundering (AML) for financial transactions. His work is well documented in around 17 peer reviewed scientific publications since 2012. Edgar has a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering from EAFIT University in Colombia (2003) and a master’s degree in Computer Science from Linköping University in Sweden (2011). He now has 15 years of combined international industrial and academic work experience. He is currently part of the ISO Standards Norge committee for Fintech SN/K 250 “Bank and Financial Services” and reviewer in several conferences and journals.
