Introduction to dispersed phase modelling. Examples of industrial problems. Multiphase flow modelling issues. Statistical description of a dispersed phase field. Breakage, coalescence and growth phenomena.
Interaction of multiple dispersed phase fields. Entrainment and deposition phenomena. Review of numerical methods. Solution techniques for partial-integral-differential equations. Spectral element methods. Example of applications. Multiphase separation in the oil and gas industry. Multiphase transport phenomena in pipelines. Multiphase flow in chemical reactors.
