Social engagement

In October 2017 I went with a team of 14 people from 12 different nations to Cambodia to tell about Jesus and volunteer as teachers at local schools (see video at my YouTube channel). This year I went back to volunteer for one month as an English and Physics teacher at Hosanna Christian School in Phnom Phen.

From 2006 to 2016 I was helping youth in difficulties, mainly youth that had dropped out of schools, didn’t had work and suffered from drug addiction. Through our church we have been helping them by having an open meeting place where we serve food, listen to them, encourage them and offer free spare time activities and holiday trips. We also offer training for work and a place in a shared flat where NTNU students from our church live together with the youths and support them. From 2013 to 2016, I was responsible for one shared flat with six bedrooms (picture). The municipality consider these flats as the best rehabilitation option for youth that come back from detoxification or prison.
